Who is Joyce Green?
Joyce Green is a mainly
self-taught artist. She attended Coff's Harbour Education Campus
where she studied drawing fundamentals & computer graphics.
Her artistic skills have been gained by experimentation
and by enjoying drawing and painting. She has also learnt from
looking at the work of other artists in private and public collections
both here in Australia and overseas.
Joyce works in a variety of drawing media including
graphite, coloured pencils, charcoal, conté crayons, pastel and pen & ink.
She paints with watercolour, inks, acrylics & oils. She enjoys
depicting a variety of subjects, especially local scenes and buildings,
botanical subjects and portraits. Her interest in design and
composition have led her to play with various styles & combinations of
media.
She writes and illustrates booklets on art topics.
She accepts commissions for illustrations, most recently for the book
Towns of the Nature Coast. Her works have been purchased
by patrons from Britain, USA, Canada & Europe.
Joyce conducts art lessons at her own studio, at the
Eurobodalla Adult Education Centre,
Art Central Moruya, South East
Community College Ulladulla and The Millhouse at Milton. She runs
workshops at various locations and takes groups on outdoor sketching
trips.
