#2 Any sensitive environment needs high level of protection against micro-organisms (especially bacteria)
#3 Rilsan® powder coating is hygienic and provides for cooler handling when removed from the glass washer; also its smooth surface helps keep staff uniforms clean.
Ideally, both trays and shelves should be coated simultaneously. However, when the trays and shelves cannot be done together (or it is deemed unnecessary to nylon coat the whole under-bar racking system), the nylon coated wear strips (runners) offer a solution — avoiding nylon on steel.
Trays sliding to-and-fro on bare steel will shorten the life of the tray, cause abrasion on the shelf and transfer any rust thereon to the tray and to the dishwasher.

#4 The tray crate makes transport to and from the powder coating process point both easy and manageable, is convenient for storage and provides for the disposal of empty cans and bottles
#5 Large capacity gas oven allows for easy and efficient Electrostatic powder coating of heavier and bulky objects such as cold room modules (smaller objects such as glass trays, baskets and runners are coated by the Fluidizing process).
We place heavy emphasis on hygiene improvement measures such as protective coatings to enhance hygiene around under-bars, dishwashers, cold rooms and food storage units because we understand that, in terms of risk management, hygiene is of the essence these days with new food handling legislation in place.
Basically, the new National Food Safety Standards help to ensure that food and drink is safe to consume.
Some clubs and hotels changed to the moulded (molded) plastic glass trays (baskets) — as I think these were supplied with the newer dishwashers — and will phase-out their old plastic coated trays.
Whilst we do not recommend plastic coated trays in dishwashers (mainly because the plastic soon damages resulting in exposure of the metal and rust on parts of the tray; also, particles of the damaged plastic come off and clog the dishwasher filter), the use of the hygienic nylon powder coated trays in the dishwasher is quite another matter.
In the face of that, if changing to the moulded plastic trays, it is a good idea still to retain at least some of the old plastic coated trays and have these recoated in nylon — on hand for when the moulded plastic trays crack, as they surely will, and cannot be repaired (you'll have to purchase new ones) — so that you’re not stuck in the meantime.
In any case, from our experience bar staff generally prefer the nylon coated trays because:
